They have advantages in terms of enhancing product grade, strengthening shelf visual effects, being lightweight and easy to carry, ease of use, waterproof, moisture-proof, anti-oxidation, and sealability. There are five types: ordinary stand-up pouches, stand-up pouches with spouts, stand-up pouches with zippers, spout-shaped stand-up pouches, and irregularly shaped stand-up pouches. They are mainly used in products such as juice drinks, sports drinks, bottled drinking water, suckable jelly, and seasonings. In addition to the food industry, their applications in some cleaning products, daily cosmetics, and medical supplies are also gradually increasing.
 
Stand-up pouch packaged products are very convenient for shoppers: because it is soft plastic packaging, it is lightweight and not easily damaged, shopping bags will not be torn by hard packaging, and it is easier to dispose of than bottles. In addition, stand-up pouches with zippers can be refilled; stand-up pouches with spouts make food easier to pour; perfect printing quality can help retailers attract consumers' attention; stand-up pouches, cans, and packaging are subject to fewer regulations, etc. Current stand-up pouch technology can already realize many dreams, which is a great market opportunity for soft plastic manufacturers. Some industry insiders also pointed out that with the introduction of high-capacity automated bagging equipment, the development potential of flexible packaging bags is becoming increasingly large.
 
Spout pouches became popular in the 1990s. They are flexible pouches with a horizontal support structure at the bottom and a spout at the top or side. They can stand upright without relying on any support, so they are named spout stand-up pouches.
 
It is a relatively novel form of packaging, with advantages in enhancing product grade, strengthening shelf visual effects, being lightweight and easy to carry, ease of use, freshness preservation, and sealability.
 
Stand-up pouches are laminated from PET/foil/PET/PE structures, and can also have 2 layers, 3 layers, or other specifications and materials, depending on the different products being packaged. An oxygen barrier layer can be added as needed to reduce oxygen permeability and extend the shelf life of the product. Ordinary stand-up pouches and general forms of stand-up pouches use a four-side sealing method, which cannot be resealed and reopened; stand-up pouches with spouts are more convenient for pouring or sucking out the contents, and can be resealed and reopened, which can be considered a combination of stand-up pouches and ordinary bottles; spout-shaped stand-up pouches combine the convenience of stand-up pouches with spouts and the low cost of ordinary stand-up pouches, that is, the spout function is achieved through the shape of the pouch itself, but spout-shaped stand-up pouches cannot be repeatedly sealed and opened; irregularly shaped stand-up pouches are various new types of stand-up pouches with different shapes based on traditional pouch shapes according to packaging needs, such as waist-cinching designs, bottom deformation designs, and handle designs, which are the main direction of value-added development of stand-up pouches.
 
Stand-up pouches are widely used in soy milk products. Compared with other packaging, stand-up pouch packaging is clean and convenient. You can open it when you want to drink it, and if you don't want to drink it, you can close it without wasting it. Moreover, it can meet different sterilization and preservation conditions in soy milk production, with a shelf life of 3-5 days under refrigeration and about 1 month at room temperature. At the same time, breakfast soy milk and freshly made soy milk are also starting to use stand-up pouch packaging.
